MS Criminal Justice 4 + 1 Program

Criminal Justice BS/MS 4 + 1 Program Criminal Justice offers the opportunity to earn two distinct degrees in Criminal Justice in its BS/MS 4 + 1 program. Students in undergraduate Criminal Justice are permitted, if qualified and admitted, to enroll in two courses at the graduate level. These designated graduate courses, taken in Junior or Senior year, are dually counted. In the first instance, the course counts towards the degree requirements of the undergraduate degree. In the second instance, upon full admission and matriculation into the graduate program in Criminal Justice, those same two courses, totaling 6 credit hours, may apply to graduation requirements for the MS in CRJ. To take advantage of this program, application to the 4 + 1 program should be filed during Junior or Senior year of undergraduate study. 

 

Admission Requirements for Criminal Justice Program 4 + 1 Program:

1. Successful completion of two Criminal Justice courses.

2. GPA of 3.0 or higher.

 

Students admitted to the CRJ 4+1 Program are limited to two of the following courses:

CRJ 600  Law, Ethics, and the American Justice System (counts as Law & Legal Theory course at undergraduate level)

CRJ 602  Natural Law as the Foundation for Just Society (as substitute for CRJ 301 at undergraduate level)

CRJ 610  Criminalistics and Forensic Science (counts as Courts and the Judiciary course at undergraduate level)

CRJ 620  Fraud and Forensic Accounting (counts as Criminology and Criminality course at undergraduate level)

CRJ 630  Protection of Children in the Justice System (counts as Policing and Law Enforcement course at undergraduate level)
