THE 881 Teaching Internship

The Teaching Internship is an opportunity for doctoral students to receive formation, mentorship, and experience in teaching at the college level by teaching a course at the University. Students are assigned a faculty member to serve as their teaching mentor for the semester. Enrollment in this course requires approval by the PhD Director. This course may be taken multiple times. Students who successfully complete this course twice, and who are not otherwise receiving graduate stipends, are ordinarily eligible to be considered for approval to teach as paid adjuncts at the University.
