Mission and Purpose
The Franciscan University of Steubenville’s Doctor of Ministry in Evangelization and Catechetics is a professional doctoral program that integrates advanced theological and catechetical studies with coherent pastoral praxis, empowering our students to more effectively participate in the Church’s mission of evangelization and God’s call to St. Francis, “Go, rebuild my church.” Graduates with our DMin are able to compete for professional opportunities in the Church, such as national, diocesan, and parish positions, as well as numerous other ministry opportunities with Catholic publishers, media creators, missionary apostolates, etc., so that they will be qualified for more prominent leadership roles within the Church.
