J. C. Williams Center
740-283-3771
The J. C. Williams Center is the “family room of the campus,” providing an environment that fosters Encounter, Conversion, and Community as well as several services for our University community.
The JCWC is the Home of the Center for Student Engagement which strives to develop a thriving campus culture centered upon ENCOUNTER with Christ and cultivated through COMMUNITY. The student Engagement Team strives to unite the spiritual and the material for our students through events and creative initiatives, leading them to deeper CONVERSION.
The Information Desk, Switchboard, is the heart of the Center for Student Engagement and Franciscan hospitality. It nourishes a campus culture of ENCOUNTER, CONVERSION, and COMMUNITY. Lost and Found, game rentals, events and activity information, student assessments, and assistance with creative initiatives are a few of the services provided. Stop by with questions, concerns, or ideas for campus community. Our Student Engagement Team would love to assist you and hear your feedback! Join us for “Power Hour” Fridays at 11am for a free treat or activity at the Switchboard Desk.
Rooms may be reserved through Kathleen Dougherty located on the top floor of the JCWC in the Student Life office. The remotes for the TVs as well as rentals (ping pong paddles, board games, cards, Nintendo Switch, lawn games, and more) are available for use by presenting a picture ID. Campus maps and local tourist attraction brochures can be found here as well.
The J. C. Williams Center is also home to the University Bookstore, Campus Mail Center, Student Life offices, Office of Evangelization, Missionary Outreach Office, and several student organization offices: Franciscan University Student Government, Exc!te (Office of Student Activities), The Troubadour (the student newspaper), San Damiano (the yearbook), and Missions of Peace.
