Dogmatic and Systematic Theology
This concentration provides a comprehensive and synthetic understanding of the Christian faith as mediated through Sacred Scripture and Sacred Tradition, and as interpreted by the conciliar and papal magisteria. The dogmatic focus is on discovering the sacred mysteries in Scripture, Tradition, and Church teaching. Upon this foundation, the systematic focus is on discovering the beautiful ordering of the divine mysteries, on contemplating their depths with reason illuminated by Catholic faith, and on extending their application to traditional and contemporary theological questions.
