ENT 401 Entrepreneurship Capstone

is the capstone course geared specifically for non-business majors and entrepreneurs. This course will dive deeper into different business models and will use simulations and other tools to optimize the business model for a start-up during the different life cycles of the business. Students will also develop a capstone project for a realistic start-up initiative. Students will evaluate the relative pros and cons of different corporate structures and partnerships, including the legal liability and tax benefits of different business models. Students will also run simulations to prepare for change management (such as regulatory and technological changes that disrupt the marketplace; mergers, acquisitions and integration of new companies and employees; and succession planning). Students will have the opportunity to learn from different business leaders, accountants and lawyers on relevant tax and legal considerations and will also learn from business leaders on how they organized their businesses and planned for change.
