Journalism Concentration
Assessment Learning Goals
At the completion of the journalism concentration, the graduate is able to:
- Understand the proper writing style for the type of information that is to be presented.
- Be able to write a variety of types of stories.
- Know and use AP style correctly.
- Understand the Catholic Church’s teachings on media and the role of the Christian in the media.
- Understand the principles of design.
- Be familiar with the software programs that are used in print journalism.
- Understand the role of the press in a democracy.
