Electronic Recording of Classes
The electronic recording of classes by students, including audio or video, is not permitted without the prior written approval of the instructor. However, students with a documented disability and approved accommodation may record a class after presenting the appropriate documentation to the instructor. Recordings are solely for the educational purposes of the course and may not be shared, distributed, or used for any other purpose. Student recordings must be destroyed at the conclusion of the course, unless retention is explicitly authorized by the instructor.
The instructor retains the right to record a class for instructional purposes. In such cases, the instructor must inform students of the recording and its intended use and should take care to respect students’ reasonable privacy concerns.
