THE 644 Spirituality and Theology of the Diaconate
This course explores the theology and spirituality of the diaconate within the Catholic Tradition. Integrating historical, biblical, and doctrinal dimensions, this course delves into the Servant Mysteries and the Establishment Hypothesis. Aspirants and candidates will engage with key theological texts, patristic writings, and contemporary discussions to develop a comprehensive understanding of the diaconate's role and theology. Emphasis will be placed on the interior life as the source of the deacon's diaconate, highlighting how a deep, personal relationship with Christ the Servant nurtures and sustains the ministry and service of the deacon.
