Repeating Courses

With the approval of the student’s advisor, a student may repeat a course to attempt to improve their grade. The most recent grade earned will be used to compute the student’s grade point average. A course that is retaken will count only once toward graduation requirements. The student’s transcript will show both the original grade for the course and the grade earned when the course was repeated. The original grade will not be calculated into the student's grade point average. If a student repeats a course at FUS which he or she has taken at another institution, the course taken at the other college or university will be removed from his or her transcript.

Note: Financial aid may not be available for more than one repeat attempt of a course for which a non-failing grade was originally earned.
