Additional Information Regarding Gannon University:

  1. Students pursuing biomedical engineering should take BIO 143 General Biology II. Students pursuing mechanical engineering should take HST 105 History of Western Civilization I. Students pursuing environmental engineering should take CHM 112 and CHM 116 General Chemistry I + Lab. Students pursuing electrical (electronics), or electrical (computer) engineering should take PHY 221 University Physics I lab and HST 105 History of Western Civilization I.
  2. Students who major in electrical engineering will need to take Circuits I + lab in the summer before transfer to Gannon.

Transfer Policies:

  • Students must have a minimum cumulative FUS grade point average of 3.0.
  • Grades of ‘D’ or better will be considered for transfer credit provided an Associate of Arts degree is earned at Franciscan.  Otherwise a grade of ‘C’ or better is required for transfer.
  • A minimum grade of ‘C’ must be earned in the following courses at FUS to transfer to Gannon:  all MTH, PHY, EGR and CSC courses.
  • Students are encouraged to meet with an academic advisor at Gannon prior to their first semester there to discuss their transition and any particular issues relating to their desired program of study.
  • The FUS GPA will be used to make an admissions decision, but does not transfer.  The grades of courses do not transfer, only the courses themselves. Students would verify their intent to enroll by making a deposit in the amount stipulated by Gannon University no later than May 1 of the year in which they intend to begin coursework.
