Second Semester
All students are encouraged to spend a semester in Austria. Austrian semester courses are subject to change. BIO 217 Medical Microbiology must be taken during the summer be- fore the Austrian semester (before the sophomore year). Your advisor will help you make adjustments in your required courses.
Undergraduates Taking Graduate Course Work:
Franciscan undergraduate nursing major students are offered an opportunity to take a maximum of 10 selected nursing credits at the graduate level (on a space-available basis) that will be applied toward the MSN degree should they choose to earn a master’s degree in nursing at Franciscan University. The undergraduate student must meet with his or her academic advisor in order to arrange the appropriate course work. In order that the undergraduate student be eligible to take the graduate-level bioethics course, must have a GPA of 3.0 or higher and be a senior level nursing student. PSY 204 Psychological Statistics must be successfully completed prior to enrolling in the course. Undergraduate nursing students who take graduate-level courses will pay the graduate tuition rate for those graduate courses if the total number of credits exceeds 18 credits. All students enrolled in master-level course work are expected to complete work designed for the graduate level. The Department of Nursing does not guarantee that other MSN programs will accept these courses for credit.
