Students pursuing biomedical engineering, electrical (electronics) engineering, environmental engineering, or mechanical engineering should take ENG 290 Speech Communication.

2 Students pursuing software engineering or electrical (Computer) engineering should take CSC 145 Data Structures. Students pursuing biomedical engineering, electrical (electronics) engineering, environmental engineering, or mechanical engineering should take a literature or fine arts core

Students may need to take additional engineering courses in the summer prior to admission at Gannon depending on the program (environmental engineering – one additional EGR course; mechanical engineering – two additional EGR courses; biomedical engineering – two additional EGR courses).

Transfer Policies:

  • Students must have a minimum cumulative FUS grade point average of 3.0.
  • Grades of ‘D’ or better will be considered for transfer credit provided an Associate of Arts degree is earned at Franciscan. Otherwise a grade of ‘C’ or better is required for transfer.
  • A minimum grade of ‘C’ must be earned in the following courses at FUS to transfer to Gannon: All MTH, PHY, EGR and CSC courses.
  • Students are encouraged to meet with an academic advisor at Gannon prior to their first semester there to discuss their transition and any particular issues relating to their desired program of study.
  • The FUS GPA will be used to make an admissions decision, but does not transfer. The grades of courses do not transfer, only the courses themselves.
  • Students would verify their intent to enroll by making a deposit in the amount stipulated by Gannon University no later than May 1 of the year in which they intend to begin coursework.
